HR Manager Tracy Watkins explains why Apprenticeships are so important to the firm and why they value the opportunity to shout about them...
Tell us why you’re supporting the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards
JSP are committed to helping young people enter the world of employment and embark on a rewarding career path. As a local manufacturing company, we work closely with surrounding schools and colleges to assist where we can, by offering work experience placements and Apprenticeships throughout the business.
Tell us about your organisation’s experience of Apprenticeships
We have had a number of successful Apprenticeship placements over the last few years in our IT, Business Development, Accounts, Stock Control and Purchasing departments. Each person has developed well in their roles and has added value to our business.
JSP would thoroughly recommend providing the opportunity for Apprentices to join local businesses. It is a great way to pass on valuable skills and expertise through mentoring, but it also brings with it young people with new, fresh and innovative ideas.
The Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2019 are open for entries and nominations until midnight on Friday 18th January. See the Awards page for details. Join us for Oxfordshire Apprenticeships Hour (#OAHour) from 1pm every Thursday for latest on the Awards and join in the conversation using the hashtag #OAAwards2019.
