Welcome to our new Apprenticeship Ambassadors

We are delighted to welcome another 15 Apprenticeship Ambassadors, who will be supporting the OxLEP Skills Team in our work raising awareness of Apprenticeships and other careers and enterprise activities. Some of the new Apprenticeship Ambassadors attended a training and preparation day on 6th December, where they had the opportunity to meet each other and practice telling their stories.

They gained some top tips for engaging young people from Evie Bennett and Marea White of Abingdon & Witney College and took part in a presentation skills workshop led by Clive Shepherd, Apprenticeship Manager at the University of Oxford.

When asked how it feels to become an Apprenticeship Ambassador, Laura Edminson, HR Apprentice at Blenheim, said: “I feel privileged and honoured to be given the opportunity to explain to others how amazing an Apprenticeship can be when you are trying to figure out what you want to do in life and how amazing the real-life experience can be. I also feel that it is a great way for me to develop my public speaking skills and general speaking skills.”
